Hendricks County RACES

The Park2Park Relay (http://www.park2park.org/) is a race for ambitious runners looking for a challenge! Teams of four will run approximately 40 miles in a relay-style running event that will take runners through communities, across countryside and through challenging park trails.

Amateur radio will be heavily involved this year and we'll need several operators to fully staff the event. The assignment sheet and the maps are posted. If you would like to volunteer, send Bob Burns W9BU (w9bu@arrl.net) an email with the position you are volunteering for, your callsign, name, and a phone number where you can be reached the day of the event. You can even sign up for more than one assignment as long as the times don't overlap.

By now, all members of Hendricks County RACES, should have received an email from EMA Director David Warren indicating that Bob Burns W9RXR is now the Hendricks County RACES Officer.

Dave Leimenstoll N9XOQ and Ron Burke KB9DJA remain on the Hendricks RACES staff as Bob's assistants.

The mission and purpose of Hendricks County RACES has not changed. We still serve Hendricks EMA, the local governments in the county, the Indianapolis NWS office, and, most importantly, the people of Hendricks County.
